Butt Weld Reducer

This butt weld reducer transitions a line from one pipe size to another in a single welded fitting, with both ends prepared for butt welding to the adjacent pipe. The reducer is formed from 304/316 stainless steel and machined so the bore change is smooth, minimizing turbulence where the diameter steps down. It covers pipe sizes from DN15 to DN100 and can be supplied as a concentric reducer for in-line transitions or an eccentric reducer where the top or bottom of the line must stay level. Wall thickness and weld-prep angles are machined to match the piping class of the project.

A reducer is judged by how it behaves in the welded line, and the two weld preps are what determine that. We machine both ends to the same weld-prep angle and bore alignment in one setup, so the pipe transitions without stepping the weld root. For thick-wall or high-pressure lines, the wall thickness is carried through the transition at the specified class, and the finished fitting can be confirmed against the customer's pipe schedule before production.

• Line size changes: the welded reducer joins different pipe diameters without flanges or threaded adapters.
• Pump and equipment transitions: eccentric reducers keep the line level where drainage or venting must be maintained.
• High-pressure piping: thick-wall versions carry the pressure class through the transition instead of bottlenecking it.

Size combination, concentric/eccentric type, wall thickness and weld-prep angle can be confirmed from drawings or pipe schedule. OEM/ODM production is supported.

Moisture-proof export cartons or wooden crates with internal cushioning, depending on size and quantity. We support EXW, FOB, CIF, CFR, DAP and DDP.
