Socket Weld Tee

This socket weld tee splits a small-bore line into two equal branches with socket ends on all three ports, so the branch point is made by inserting pipe into machined sockets and welding the rims. The fitting is machined from 304/316 stainless steel, and the three sockets are machined in one setup so the branch stays true and all legs align. The socket weld construction keeps the pressure class through the junction, which matters on small-bore high-pressure and sampling lines.

A tee multiplies weld joints, and each socket depth must be right or the branch leaks after the line is in service. We machine the three sockets in the same setup so every leg accepts the pipe at the same depth and squareness, which makes the three field welds uniform. For projects that need a reducing branch or a specific orientation, the socket sizes and branch geometry are set from the drawing and the fit verified before the batch ships.

• Branching small-bore lines: the welded tee adds a branch without threaded fittings that weaken small pipe.
