1. The installation location, height, and inlet/outlet direction must meet the design requirements. Ensure the direction of medium flow is consistent with the arrow direction marked on the valve body, and that the connection is secure and tight.
2. A visual inspection must be performed on the valve before installation. The valve nameplate should comply with the current national standard "General Valve Marking" GB 12220. For valves with a working pressure greater than 1.0 MPa and those used for shut-off on main pipelines, strength and tightness tests must be conducted before installation. Only valves that pass the tests are permitted for use. During the strength test, the test pressure is 1.5 times the nominal pressure, and the test duration is no less than 5 minutes. The valve body and packing should show no leakage to be considered (qualified). During the tightness test, the test pressure is 1.1 times the nominal pressure; the test duration must comply with the requirements of GB 50243.
